I have two problems:

1) you do not see the users online in chat with iphone (tells me that there are no users online) when in fact we are in the chat and the computer are seen

2) when it sends a message window opens to the right and vertically you only see half of the chat, and you can not read the message .... as you can make it visible responsive?

I want to remove the chat .... that is powered by the copyright

how can I do? if you have to pay how much and how?

How do I get the username for profiles?

Its a very basic question that seems very difficult for me to figure out, how do I get the usernames pulled in custom.php for profiles.

This is the last piece of the configuration I have to fix.

The problem is $iden is improperly set in the config.

If I comment out $iden it works perfectly returning the userid. The problem is, my database has set up profiles based on username not userid. So I need $iden to work.

Basically I need the href to link to to link to $r_path.$iden not to " . $r_path . "showProfile.php?id=" . $id . " which is the default.

My databases are setup perfectly.

I have tried calling $res['usr_name']; but that seems to only return the current logged in user and makes every profile link, a link to the logged in users profile.

I am at a complete loss as to what to even look for.

Yes, I am asking for feedback here. I run a forum with over 1.5 million posts and I have been under the impression that chats are cancer for a forum. Reasons include...

1. they eat the forums: your forums will not grow to their full potential when a user can simply open a chat. They have lesser reason to create a thread and start a potential community conversation about a topic

2. do messages get deleted in this chat (pruned)? We used to run a chat when our website first opened, but after traffic picked up over the first year, we literally had to get rid of it for performance reasons. However, when we had a "Shoutbox", it would get pruned on a daily basis, therefore all of that discussion was now literally deleted, hence "eating the forums".

On the plus side, I love the simplicity of this forum software and the layout. I love how every forum category has it's own distinguished/highlighted areas showing the total views, replies and followers.

But yes, why should I consider installing this? For the record, I have no intention of installing this chat software based on my current questions. Prove me wrong and present a valid argument, please.

Okay, I have installed Freichat and am at the Administer page. I click and am in the cpanel and made the changes and am ready to go but where? How do I add Freichat to PHPBB? Any help is appreciated.

When a user is notified of a new chat on mobile, the notification disappears the moment the user refreshes the page or clicks on the chat link. He or she has no way of knowing who sent the message once they reach the mobile page of listed online users. Is it possible to make the notification stick until the user clicks on the user who sent the message in the one on one chat?

Unless a user is on the one on one chat screen he or she has no idea who sent the message unless they are paying attention to the black popup of the message that quickly appears and disappears.

I'm installing the new version 10.0 of freichat and I'm having a couple of issues in the upgrade. I'm going from J2.5 to J3. I have the version 1.0 currently. I hadn't updated because I had heavily customized the chat. Now it's time and with the new file structure, I've created a new theme. However, I couldn't figure out how to upgrade, other than removing the freichat folder and replacing it with the new one. I couldn't uninstall the module listed in the extension manager, but I inserted the code in the head as per your instructions. My problem is that the old chat data gets erased.

So my questions are:
1- Can I just repopulate the chat table with the old info (matching the room ID) ? Or should I do something different?
2- Concerning my theme, I'd like to have the default text color to be white, but I don't know where to set it. I understand once the user clicks on the color picker then it remembers that (how?) but I can't find where to set it for the first time.
3- I would like the time format in the chat to show the date as well, e.g. 2/25 9:15 pm. Is this possible?
4- Is it possible to have the chat room show up only in some pages, rather than site-wide?
5- This might seems strange, but I'd also like to embed the chat in a page i.e. in my main "community" page. Is it possible?

I changed the icon for the chat tab. But now i want to remove the generated chat room text from it so it just shows the new icon. Which file would i find that in?

The chat rooms appear to be working normally till another user logs in to the site. At that point the text box and message display gray out and you cant read messages or type in the box. when no one is on the site it goes back to normal. has this happened to anyone before and if so what is the fix? also is it possible to set the chatrooms to be open on load load, apparently people are saying its

I installed FreiChat, integrated with my user list and it seems everything is ok, but when I type the message and press enter it goes to the next line and don't send the message.
In my console I have the error message: TypeError: FreiChat.groupchat is undefined
The chat room is working good with the users logged in.

I noticed that during the usage of videochat, there are requests being done to the server. So not only before making the connection, but also during. GET and POST requests, each 3 seconds. This is fine. However, I wanted to check if this is normal behaviour (because of performance).

I m trying Freichat with joomla integration for a website I m building.The installation was ok and everything worked out of the box. I have a question , how can I display offline users in the chatbox? For example, Now I see online users with a green dot on the right of their name, can I do the same for offline users but -let's say- with a red dot? Space wont be a problem because I intend to use it only for registered users (max 150 people) so the small div will not be a problem.
Is that possible?
