Installed Freichat on our website www.iwebazoid.in. Not showing username. Help will be appreciated. I installed using Joomla option. Do I need to further customize for getting list of users? Thanks!

Hi there,

if my status is 'Busy', and I click on a button, to chat with another person, it takes 30-60 seconds for the chat window to open. More specific, it opens when the first periodic request is sent to the server. I use

onClick="FreiChat.create_chat_window_mesg(username,user_id);"

for the button, and it works fine. It does not matter what the status is of the other person.

How can I get the window to open immediately?

Trying to install Freichat extension. It appears the way to upload package file is different. README with the extension reads

Place the freichat folder in your CMS installed directory.

For Example, If you have installed joomla , freichat folder should be placed in
/your/joomla/installed/directory/freichat

• Enter the following path for installation
  http://your_website.com/freichat/installation/index.php

• Fill in the required details and after installation your settings will be
  saved in /freichat/arg.php
  You can change your password in that file.

Please Note By default the password will be "adminpass"

For my website www.splendiddigitalsolutions.com, what should I place for Install Directory field? How do I enter path for installation?

IE 11 added 2 scrollbars in that case.

maybee its possible to make Chatroomarea as a resizeable
popup window ?

I've installed FreiChat on PHPKIT and have now the problem, that after a few messages the newest messages are not displayed automatically...i have to scroll down, if i want to see them...could you help me to fix this?

I want to see the newest 5-10 messages in textbox and not the first 5-10...

I really appreciate the work you have done on this chart. Thanks coz it has helped me so far.
I need to know though how I can change the icons that appear automatically on the online users. Most of them look evil, how can I change them or in which directory are they.

I have set up freichat on a Joomla! site - works very nice!

I am sure some users would prefer to not always have the chat enabled.

Is it possible for each user to disable and enable the chat module as they wish?

I run 2 installations of SMF, a 2.0.7, and a 2.0.9. With the 1st one I have no problem with FreiChat. With the 2nd I get "Getting list of users online..." all the time, nothing changes for hours. Could it be that the latest version of SMF causes the problem? Both FreiChat installations are 9.3.

Hi there,

I hid the user list box, where all the online users are shown. I did this by adding 'visibility: hidden;', to #freichat and .freichat in styles.css.

I am able to minimize a chat window, however, when I click on the maximize icon, nothing happens, and the following error appears in the console:

'Uncaught Error: cannot call methods on draggable prior to initialization; attempted to call method 'enable' "

I noticed in freichat.js, FreiChat.toggleChatBox = function(id, box_count), the line:

if ($jn("#" + id).is(":visible"))

But I am not sure if that is the cause.

If I 'unhide' the user list, so that it shows again, the maximize button works fine.

I would first like to thank you for developing such a wonderful extension. I am using this with my Joomla site http://mycitymychoice.com.

I have two little concerns though..

1. When user access my site on mobile freichat is blocking toomuch space and its not responsive. How can we fix this. When we click on chat forum it goes beyond the screen and you cant see anything. you can try accessing it on mobile. My website is http://mycitymychoice.com

2. It seems to slowdownn the page load of my website. Is there any way i can make it load after my page is loaded. Or any other workaround.

Is there a way to have chat only appear on certain pages in my simple machines installation?

when I send a chat message, the other person receives it as a new message, and 'recd' is set to '1' in the frei_chat table. However, if I send a videochat request, the other person receives it as a new message, but also keeps receiving it as a new message, each time they start Freichat. I noticed that the frei_video_session does not have a 'recd' column.

How would I be able to fix this?

I managed to add your freichat component into my Joomla 3.0 site. But it's not working any of the Internet Explorer versions (I am using 8 and 9, in Win XP and win 7). I checked my browsers and they are not in compatibility mode. Also I have cleared-up my cache. I have disabled Gzip as well.

Though it's working for Mozilla or Chrome (including my Linux or Windows machines). You may have look pls, into my site raihans.co.uk, with the user name 'chatuser' and password as 'passwd'. What may I need to do, please help?
