we like to change the design of the main chatroon. we do not want the balloon layout, just a normal line with, time; Username; message and line per line.

Hi, the chat works great on firefox/opera but not in IE10 (win8). It crashes my template (ja elastica, j2.5) and the chat windows dont appear at all. As i said, in other browsers it works just fine. Is there anything i can do to make it run on IE10? Anyone has similar problems with IE10?

I uploaded the Freichat folder to my index directory as instructed and then I was able to install the freichat through browser. However in the last step where we need to install the mod_freichat_7 in the joomla. I got this error Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package. I am getting this eroor in Joomla 1.5.

Though i was successfully able to install in my Joomla 2.5 site.

Is there any compatibility issues with 1.5.

Please assist.

I made active from the module panel
I asign it to my site by giving position to it
And i checked to display on all pages

i checked the adress with the setings freichat/admin and i have seen that it has the users in its list
But Only the title of the module "FreiChat-I" appears
What can i do??

we installed yesterday FreiChat...i love this tool..but i have a Problem with Firefox. When i go on my site, i don´t see the rooms or the user names. But when i go in with Chrome or Explorer is all ok, i see the chat rooms and the users!

I have installed the FreiChat 7.6 on my Joomla!2.5.7 site succesfully. Or actually installer told me, it was a succes.
I can login FreiChat on backend, and I can make any changes in configs, even in room settings, themes etc.
I have a tab in the upper left corner of my sites frontend, named "Chat Room", and a small popup in the battom right corner.
When I click on "Chat Room" tab, I get a panel with some fields. I can type anything, I can choose smileys. There is a field named "Rooms" but it is totally empty. (Even I have got several rooms setted in backend.)

In the right down corner popup, I have some messages:
Fetching...User..List
Querying DataBase

That is all I can see. Maybe it is not that I should to, but I do not really know what should I.

I suppose it should have some connection whith Community Builder but I could not find any information on it.

I have this linked to CB and when a user doesn't have a profile photo it uses one from its own directory. What I would like to do is have it use the one that I have specified from CB. Where can I change this?

Is there any mobile browser support? I haven't tested it on any other browser except for Chrome for Android and the User list appears correctly, but the message box to a user gets stuck in the corner.

Is there a fix for this or a way to de-activate it from running on mobile browsers?

I use this nice plugin on Elgg. I create a new theme for it and I have a problem in chatroom. The frei_smiley_chatroom_select image that is for select and sending a smiley in chatrooms can not load. The URL of the image is wrong and the problem is in the image name. It has the full URL onto the theme directory but it has no image name at the end of the URL. I think the problem is raised in FreiChat.make_url function that can not return right URL.
The URL is like this: "http://localhost/Elgg/web/mod/chat/vendors/freichat/client/jquery/freichat_themes/Test/"

When I reload the page or go to another page on my website, everything we write previously disappears. Is this a normal behavior? Is there some option I can change in order to save the chat (not saving it down on the computer, but make it stick when i switch page or reload).

Hi, I just installed "FreiChat for Community Builder" on joomla 2.5.
My problem is that nothing happens, a box in the corner of the screens popup and says:
"fetching...user..data
Kindly wait
loading...........".
I have no Clue how to solve this, so i googled around and tried to found a solution, the only thing i found was that i should select yes on "Remove Jquery Conflicts ". I've done that but it did not help.

also i get this code in the top of the page when i login to the backend of Freichat :
"Warning: PDO::__construct(): MySQL server has gone away in /customers/e/9/e/subsistance.se/httpd.www/freichat/define.php on line 77"

Also i run 2 templates on my site, Jm-biz_blue and Rt_afterburner, booth have the same problem.
