I have now tested the chat extensively. I have now noticed some bugs:

First I can not delete the chat room Inovative Talk. Why not?
Second If I delete all the other chat rooms, I do not see any more chat rooms.
Third In Firefox and Chrome the chat sometimes disappears. Only after hours I can see him again.

What to do?

I have been trying to get the install done and have watched every video, searched the fourm and had read the docs... I cannot get this to work. I am getting "JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file Path does not have a valid package." errors whether I create a folder or extract... Also I am throwing an Internal Server Error when I upload the file manually and type the address.

This looks like a great extension and I would love to use it.. Can anyone help? I also apologize if I missed a previous post concerning this

hallo i have deleted the given chat rooms and have createted new one...

But in the frontend, when i klick on "Chat Room" there are NO rooms!!!!

What can i do?

&.2 would not display on IE web browsers. 7.4 shows on all but is stuck with and never returns. If I disable it in elgg looks correct but does not work. I enable it and this is what I see.

I do a mv freichat friechat.74 and mv freichat72 to freichat Goes away and I am able to chat, but MS IE users are not. Put things back and back to the Fetching...user..data kindly wait. Tried to just copy the config.dat but does not make a difference on the Fetching problem.

I have enabled the profile link but clicking on the name in chat does not go that file should I check?
use JomSocial 2.6.2 and joomla 2.5.7

id14 is the last id number in the database for the users of the cms.

i use a cms (dzcp.de), the correct data i wrote in the arg.php:

I have problems with MIME types of backend settings.
I tried different times but always get some error, and they seems strange.
I added these extensions:
image/jpeg,image/pjpeg,image/png,image/jpg,image/gif,application/zip,audio/mpeg,application/fsm,application/psd,application/osm

For example application/osm works fine. But application/fsm don't. Should work fine. (and is the same file, infact is generated by two different softwares but osm can be loaded in the other and fsm in the one that save osm).
Why i continues to get the error of file type?
Also PSD (photoshop) get wrong..

Can you help me?

I have installed and am running FreiChatX on a Joomla/jomsocial based website that is being hosted on hostgator. Hostgator apparently has fairly strict settings when it comes to PHP, and will not allow PHP scripts to run in a folder that is writable by anything other than "Owner"... so all folders have to be chmoded to 755.

That becomes a problem when someone tries to send someone else a file. The file cannot be written to the folder, so the other user ends up getting a "file not found" error when they click on the provided link, and if I set the folder to 777 I get a 500 server error, and the error log complains that the folder was set to writable by world or group or whatever.

So the question is, since there are executing PHP scripts in the upload folder which prohibits me from setting the folder to 777, can I either change something in my php.ini file that will relax the restrictions or can I point the actual file upload to something other than the standard upload folder?

I have successfully added freichat to our elgg website and it works without any problem. But it seems that if a user isn't active on the elgg website, he gets log out automatically. Can this be disabled? The user should always be online as long he is logged in at elgg no matter if he is active or not.
