mod_freichatx-i is at position 0 - from the template.

I have the following problem:
When I log in Jommla, I get the small window of free chat to see. But no actual chat. And in the little window says: No one is online, but I'm logged.

I've tried a lot. But nothing works. Can someone help me?

In Version 6.1.1 of freichat the translate function does not work. No matter which language is selected, the text is always displayed as it was typed.

i love this freichat and thank you for sharing this...

i downloaded this yesterday and installed it to my community website and everybody loves it...

freichat works perfectly in safari, and firefox and it loads fast in all pages BUT im at work at the moment and we are only using internet explorer.....freichat loads only on the main page or home and other pages except when im trying to visit my own profile it doesnt load there at all...sometimes is does load...

so what could be the problem hehehe can you guys help me out please :)

Long time ago i asked that how to increase the chat speed & reduce the server load & ask you to make freichat more fast in delivering message like in google chat & facebook chat. I dont know what technology they use but i want to tell you about new technology which you can use in your chat to make it faster just like facebook & also reduce the server load what current freichat use i am not joking you can see the APE-server (Ajax push engine) it is an OpenSource solution any one can use it. You can see about it more on their website http://www.ape-project.org/index.php & you can also see their chat demo then you know why i am telling you this at http://www.ape-project.org/demos/1/ape-real-time-chat.html the chat is really fast by using this freichat you can make chat really fast & less server load.
Please think about it & tell me your suggestion on that.

How do you add a chat room, i just download the latest version and I cant find anything in the freichat administration backend or the joomla module. Please gear me in the right direction. :)

I think there is a problem with the case of some filenames.

Freichat v 6.1 was installed a few days ago and nearly everything was fine.
To upgrade to 6.1.1 I renamed freichat to freichat-6.1 and uploaded the new files.
During the installation an error occures. The file "Joomla.php" could not be found (btw. I chose JCB as driver).

After inserting a symbolic link in the driver directory pointing to joomla.php the installation succeded, but on my website (J1.5.22 with CB 1.4) no freichat window appeared.

Perhaps I just have to insert a link pointing to jcb.php, but I think there may be more problems with cases of some filenames

Hi, I'm trying to install Freichatx on Joomla 1.7, but get: 500 - Internal server error when hitting "Submit" on the configuration detail page. It looks like it's not able to open the /freichat/installation/install.php file (just my guess).

Any clues?

IIS 7.5
Joomla 1.7
CB 1.7
MYSQL 5.5.15
PHP 5.2.12

I unzipped the freichat folder i downloaded,copied it in my 'joomla installed directory' . I filled my configuration details and submitted. It didnt instal,it gave me an error message, 'error, could not find driver.
Pls what can i do, i'm working offline.

I´ve installed into SugarCRM 6.2.1 CE and the process was very easy but I can see the users online.

I´ve changed all the options in the freichat admin with no success.

I'm attempting to run this on a Redhat platform with Joomla 1.7 and CommunityBuilder 1.7

I've installed the component in the freichat directory as instructed and gone through the install routine with no apparent errors. The module for joomla/cb downloaded and installed OK.
Now, when I enter the admin interface all seems well, but when I click on chatrooms with the notion of creating one, I just get :

Chatroom Plugin

1.

I can't enter any text by the 1.

In Joomla, when I activate the module, I get a blank screen.

Any help gratefully accepted :-)

I've just got freichatX 6.1 installed on my joom1.7 runing CB 1.7 and got the following error when I am changing and submiting the setting in the administrator panel of feichat.

"Warning: file_put_contents(../config.dat) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in /home/www/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/freichat/server/admin_files/home/index.php on line 53"

I chmod on 777 for the setting(gonna chmod again once the setting done), but the trick does not seems to work.

I install the module in the joomla side, and the mod seems working, but I can't have a proper setting done.

got also an error with the chatroom plugin side of the admin:
"Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on a non-object in /home/www/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxfreichat/server/admin_files/chatrooms/index.php on line 22

Hello admin, i am using joomla with ur great & latest freichat v6. But i can't add new valid file extensions for uploading mp3 files. I add this name from admin section but when i try to upload it gives error that 'invalid ' . Plz help me. & also thanks for this great creation. I would like to add 'bengali' language package with ur main package. Would i sent that by email ?

I install FreiChatX.6.0 Successfully and set it with joomla 1.7 & jsocial too.

But when load page and show chat module, i found two problem in it.

1. arabic or persian characters to the question mark was shown.
2. User list load with horizontal scroll

Does Freichat work with joomla 1.7? If not, it would be cool to see it work with J 1.7.

i install freichat , table created succefully , a can enter to admin session , but i dont see any link to enter to chat .
what can i do after succefully installation ? i got just 2 links :
- go to installation.
- go to administration.

I am trying to install freichat on new site.
I get this error:

Fatal error: Class 'PDO' not found in /freichat/installation/install.php on line 220 (of course it is using my directory but I am not comfortable posting that here)

Well, I thought it mean't PDO wasn't turned on at server so I had them turn them on and tried again.

Still I get that error??
Is there a file missing in the install package or should I go back and tell my server they didn't do it right??

The theme maker (of V6.0) in the administrative backend does not work correctly.

Every time you save the argument file, additional backslashes are added.

The file looks like this after some modifications:
