Hi, how do I change the avatar size from 16px to 32px? I uploaded 32px but it'll auto-resize to 16px.
Is it in CSS or JS or PHP?

I have Freichat working successfully on my project and it all seems to be working excellently. I have noticed that in the admin area, the custom theme editor only seems to be working properly in Google Chrome (Version 25.0.1364.97).

It nearly works in Firefox (19.0), but in CSS Edit mode, when an element is clicked and the style window appears, the selectors are listed down the left, but the value text fields are empty. In Edit Images mode, the Select box to choose a file for uploading doesn't have any text on it to say what it's for.

In IE9, when an element is selected, the style window does not appear for me at all.

In all browsers including Chrome, there are a couple of elements that have just about disappeared off the left hand side. The edges of them are still visible, but there's no way of knowing which part of the chat facility they are for.

I have tried Chrome and Firefox in both Ubuntu and Windows 7, with IE9 just in Windows 7.

Firstly i can only apologize for my query as it seems very routine but not something i'm familiar with. I've scoured the forums but to no avail, so i guess if i don't ask, i'll never know.

But basically i'm falling at the first hurdle with regards to installing the free version of Freichat, in that i i'm not overly sure where to actually install the file :S

Admittedly, i'm still very new to Joomla and website development as a whole, but my previous installs have consisted of me either using the extension manager (something i know is not possible with Friechat) or uploading to my host files.

The latter is not noted on the forums as i had hoped it would be, but presuming it would be more or less the same, i added the Friechat file in Parallels Plesk Panel (my host) via mysite/httpdocs/components/com_freichat

Sadly this didn't work, but when i revert back to the documentation you guys provide, i'm struggling to understand where i find the CMS Installed Directory if it's neither of the 2 methods above.

Again, apologies for the newbie question, but this feature would be a superb addition to my site if i can overcome this slight hiccup.

My config is joomla 2.58. I've installed the last freichat, download and install the module.

When I published the module at any position, nothing is displayed! I guess it is a problem with yootheme?

First I just wanted to say thank you for the work that has gone into this application. Nice work!
Second I was curious about the specific differences between the Free and Enterprise versions of FreiChat. We mostly use the Chatroom feature so I spent some time to customize it to fit with the style of our site. How is the Enterprise version "Fully Customizable" beyond my manually editing the CSS files? Also, does Enterprise have a different chat room? It looks like the Free version has an old version provided?

I used freichat the old version but when I see the new of freichat 8.1.1, I deleted my old version at public_html and I deleted database too.

After that I upload freichat 8.1.1 and install a new version but when I install, I got error like below.

I installed Freichat to quick. I copied all the files from the freichatzipfile that I download from this site into my rootfolder. So I didn't make a /freichat folder first.

Now I can't do anything anymore. First I tried to install freichat, and that worked well. I thought afterwards I could enter the backend of my site, but instead I always go to the freichat backend.

How can I fix this?

I am having problems with integrating my login database to the freichat.

I followed the steps which was shown in the How to? tab, Custom Install Video.

I have my code mirrored like what youve discussed in "Custom Install", now I am wondering what went wrong because I'm having this error "Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token

hi all im having a problem with freichat getting user names. I use eqdkp plus cms and phpbb3 I have my cms bridged to use my phpbb3 user databasae and that works fine but i can not get freichat 7.6 to use it. i have tried to use the interagation but my database table and database user are not standard i have for example somename_phpbb wich forces me to enter manualy and i have tried using the custom way as well. if any one has any idear on how i can resolve this it would be great thanks

First of all, let me congratulate you for this great project. I have been successfully using an older, heavily modified (by myself) version of FreiChat on my social networking website for more than 1 year now.

Problem is, my website is kind of big and, although I have multiple dedicated servers to support it, I would prefer to reduce server load somehow. Currently, at peak hours, there are over 1000 online users at the same time. Each uses an instance of Frei Chat that only shows up his own friend list, of course. Sometimes there are delays between page load and chat load.

Now, my plan is to somehow switch to a system using full push (instead of ajax polling). What are your plans in the future regarding push features (and regarding other features as well)? Do you estimate the performance improvement in version 7.6 (using Comet long polling) will be big enough to be worth switching to 7.6, or should I wait for the next version? (I think I am using a version 4.* now)

It would be nice if we could see the upcoming features somewhere and maybe a rough time estimate for them.
