How can I use UTF-8 encoding with freichat???
The problem is that Greek characters are shown as ?????????

You have to translate the "english.php" file of Freichatx in modern greek language. And finally, you save it with UTF-8 encoding.
But you must use a fine text editor use for programmation, not a single text editor: if you work under Linux (ubuntu), you choose Geany (for example).

Thnx for the reply. The language file is OK, I've already shaved it in utf-8. The problem is that when someone types something in the chat in Greek , the characters are send to the other side as ???

The UTF-8 issue was already resolved in the previous version.

Which version of FreiChat are you using ?

I am using 5.1 alpha version.
