I had problems with people registering and not getting any confirmation emails! So I thought that maybe getting a SMTP server will fix this.

But it did not! Please is there any way to fix this?

Hi,

Try registering a new account from front end. Open the profile of the new account.
Now, click on 'resend mail' link and see if you get any error.
