yes it is possible
add more smiley images to the client/jquery/img folder.
open client/freichat.js and search for "FreiChat.SmileyGenerate", add the new smiley URL and pattern there.
then open client/plugins.js and search for "FreiChat.smileylist" add the smiley pattern there to get it in the selection box.

Dont know how you guys can write all that code and make so little mistakes...I made 4 or 5 just adding 4 extra smileys ;)
