Questions about Integration

First-off, this is a great forum software. Thank you for providing it for free. I recently installed it on my local machine, so I can try to integrate it on my website running on PHP/MYSQL, which has a good amount of registered users already. I am not using any CMS.

1.) For SSO integration, do I need to import current users to CODOFORUM to codo_users table for it to work?

2.) I have seen importer for other forums, which imports topics, posts and users. However, in my case I only need to import users from my current DB. Is there an importer for this?

I am looking forward finishing integration, so I can have it available to on my site. smile

Thank you.

Hi,

No, you do not need to import anything.

You will have to create a sso integrator as descrbed in the last part in the docs:

Thanks got it @adesh1414127033.

One last question, I can see that under constants.php there are two modes DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION.

By default, its on DEVELOPMENT mode. May I ask what would be the difference if I set it on PRODUCTION once I made it live on my site?

I think we should turn to PRODUCTION mode for live site. It'll generate some warning line on your site in Dev mode.

Addition, turn off the debug mode in the index.php too:
