when entering the message-input box on a smartphone, the phone's keyboard appears and hides the input-box. so i cannot see, what i am entering.

Is there a way to adjust this ?

Does it happen in both Landscape and Portrait orientation ?

yes - in both orientation same result.
when entering input-box, the box is hidden by the phone's keyboard. I would expect the content to be shifted upwards.
