Hi, just download FreiChat to install it on our current community website which is under development, we try to install FreiChat in a sub-folder since the website is not yet completed but while proceeding with installation, we are receiving a 500 error.

We are actually working in a sub-folder since the website currently under development will replace an existing one, moving from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5. Can anyone please assist us?

Such errors are mostly due to file permissions .

Open up freichat directory and make sure all files have 755 permissions .

Hi, thanks for the reply, actually all folders have the permission set to 0755 so do you mean the folders or files? Do we need to change all present files including .php, .txt, .js etc. to the permission 0755? Please confirm.

Thanks for the info anyway, I was able to complete the installation by changing all files permissions to 0755.

Furthermore, we are using a multilingual website (English & French), if there anyway to have two language version for both user type?

Additionally, we are using FreiChat on a professional community portal, is there any possibility to remove the 'Powered by EvNix' link please?

You can have different languages but the user wont be able to change the language.
