Hi,

I installed Freichat in Joomla Community Builder and got it all up and running and working in Firefox.

I then went over to Explorer to test and it is not working?

Do you have any fixes or idea's why it is not working in Explorer?

I then accessed the site on another computer and logged into the site with Firefox and Explorer, but no chatroom options came up. It only seems to work on the computer the software was installed on.

I do think the program has potential but what is going on and why doesn't it work on other computers?

Probably you have IE running on quirks mode(this can be caused by your website).

Did you enter the IP address to access it from another computer??
You have to remember that FreiChat has to be installed using the same IP/Domain which is publicly accessible from other computers.
If you install it using "localhost" and try to access it from another IP address, it simply wont work due to same-origin-security-policy.

I managed to get the other computers to work with the plugin. I have it set that only registered users can see it when they login. When a registered users logs in, they do not see the chat room option or the IM chat on the bottom right of the screen.

What I had to do is click on the home menu option and then the plugins appeared which is very strange? But they showed up which is great news.

Just a couple of newbie questions for you:

1) Is there a way for admin to delete messaqes in that chat rooms

2) Is there a way to edit the colours on the tabs?

No there isn't specific option to delete the chattoom messages.
But there is an option in the backend which will delete all the messages based on the time specified.

you could also run the following query in phpmyadmin to delete all the chatroom messages.

DELETE FROM frei_chat WHERE message_type=1
