We are using a LDAP auth with an AD to log users into Elgg...

The freichat userlist displays the username from the Active Directory instead of the DBprefix_user_entity table which has the proper name / username.

We would like to display the "elgg" username or name instead of the AD usernames.

How can i get around this problem.

FreiChat retrieves the usernames from the DBprefix_user_entity table, There is an option in the backend to select nickname, just try if it works

I did not find any such option in the back-end settings for Freichat. i will attach an image of what my settings page looks like .

Isn't there any option to change display name under general settings in client tab ? If not try installing the latest version 7.5.3
