I am using free version 7.6 of FreiChat and i can't change purge/delete message history setting. When i change zero with any other number and click submit the system doesn't save it. After i enter config page again the number is zero.

That option is not automatic , you will need to manually delete messages whenever you want to , and this is the reason it is reverting back to 0 .
