Chat History auto delete

Can the chatroom history be set to auto delete after a specified time? 1 hour? 1 day? 15 minutes?

we had that feature in the earlier versions, it has been temporarily disabled.
we have been trying to figure out ways to improve performance, this additional delete query can make you loose some milliseconds, its not much but makes a huge difference when thousands of users are online.
we try to minimize on update/delete queries as much as possible.

we will add that feature, as many have demanded for it. we will make it possible with cron or something similar.
