I just installed FreichatX4.6.3 on Joomla 1.6.3 + CB 1.4 and now my main page says:
"Direct Access to this location is not allowed."

I tried removing the code I inserted into my index.php file and its still the same.
Please help as my whole site is down atm.

FYI Uninstalling it as per instructions on the site did not work either.

FreiChatX doesn't integrate with your site directly, it is loaded externally by calling a javascript file. you may check the copy-pasted code, it simply loads a javascript file.
It is same as loading an external image. even if the image is broken, your site still works, it is the same with FreiChatX.
It simply doesn't interfere with your site. So it is much safer than those modules or plugins or components.

The "No direct access" error is related to Joomla. That error is caused if someone is trying to access a PHP file directly.(under normal conditions, all PHP files are loaded by the index.php file)

You must have messed up somewhere, there is no chance that the error could have been caused by FreiChatX.

I get what you are saying, but I followed the instructions from the readme file and it happened straight after that was installed... Coincidence?

probably you messed up while copy pasting the code. that code is the only thing which connects your site with FreiChatX. if you remove it the integration is lost.
try switching the template!!

Turns out it was nothing at all to do with your program. It was a CB plugin that caused it to fail. I installed it around the same time.
For reference FreiChatX works perfectly!
