Upon initiating an import session from a remote Kunena 3 server got this error multiple times:

Did i specify wrong connect data, or does remote server not allow connections?

The mysql user credentials you provided for import does not have access to the codoforum database.

The user should have read access to kunena database and write(create/update/delete) access to codoforum database

Probably i have understood incorrectly which database credentials should be specified at the import wizard, those of local codoforum database, or those of remote database on a remote server to import data from?

Or probably i understood incorrectly the very essence of the import procedure. Can i import data from a remote database on a remote sever, or should it be a local database?

You can import it from a remote server but it depends on configurations.

You need to specify database credentials of kunena not codoforum here.

I have solved database connection issue, indeed there was a problem connecting to remote database.

I have successfully imported data, with no error, bot it seems that the import session is complitely messing role permissions, and category permissions.

So after import the forum looks blank at front end, with no threads or posts.

It might be because we had written the importer before the permission system was created.

We will have to test the import again.

Can you give us access to your codoforum backend/database ?
