im having problems with my joomgallery thickbox when freichat is working. i tried freichatx 4.6.3 and 3.4.0 both with cb 1.4.

it wont work. it always displays the images in new window even if i choose thickbox.

I have an issue when using PSession and chat using the username and id. It will be working fine when use Sdatabase and guest. After checking mysql record , frei_chat table shows result like in the screenshot :

Can you help me ? from the screenshot of frei_chat table, guest is in the second row which is working fine and the userid in the first row which is having the problem in the 'from' field and 'to' field (always generate same random number).

I'm getting error when i testing sending files:
Upload director does not have required permissionsFile Name

What can I set up to make this work? Where are uploaded files are stored? In joomla database?

I installed newest version FreiChatX v.4.6.3 on Joomla 1.6.1. It work well on IE8, Firefox, Chrome. But I tested it on IE 7 and no users has been shown. It doesn't show number of online users either. Unfortunately many users still using IE 7.

In FreichatPure the chat window sat nicely at the screen bottom, right next to the online users window - in fcX the online users window is still there, but the chatwindow is gone somehow. From my limited knowledge of CSS and php it seems that the chat window sticks to the div container in the template, regardless whether I set it as draggable or not.
Could someone pls point me to where I could achieve a similar behaviour like the users window? During scrolling it seems to be repositioned to the lower right corner of the browser window - this woudl be perfectly ok for my chat window as well.

Pls don't start bashing me for MSIE6 - it is beyond my control. I am trying to set up FreiChatX on an intranet Joomla 1.5 website where unfortunately MSIE6 still is the default browser of choice (and users don't have a chance to install/use anything else due to policy restrictions).

Any chance to include a driver for Mambo?
I know it is superseded by Joomla. But with a small (I think) work is one more option to FreiChatX.
Also, if the custom driver work with cookies, the FreiChatX work in any platform. (Correct me if I wrong).

Manually editing arg.php isn't the best way IMHO....

Right now I am thinking of e.g.
- the busy/offline timeouts (mentioned here)
- the file sending plugin (incl. enable/disable)
- the translation plugin

Freichatx is extraordinary. the features available in freichat is awesome And i am desperately waiting for the freichatx version when you also include voice and video chat functionality in freichatx.
I want to know till when voice and video chat functionality is available in freichatx.Because for any chat these are very important feature.

I just installed FreiChatX.v.4.6.3.zip and was successful to a point

I do see the user window in the browser, and I can change the user or template settings in the administrator panel, but if I change the powered by (on off) there is no change and also there are no users even when there are users online. I have two machines side by side to test connection. Neither one sees the other. If I try to look at the arg.php file via the http://~freichat/arg.php I get :

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

yet I can look at the file once I ftp it and I can see the settings and they look fine. Permissions on the arg.php and the index.php are ok too.

I have set permissions of arg.php to 644

Also I am running JCB and it shows JCB when I look at the arg.php once I ftp it.

I am also running firebug and see no obvious problems there either but dont know exactly what I am looking for. Also, I have read other posts about a log file. Where would that be?

I am using Joomla 1.5.22 and CB 1.3.1. I downloaded and installed freichat 3.5.0 for CB. The problem is that it shows my existing connections online but if i add a new connection i cannot see it. On the other hand the added conection can see me. A second issue is that the alreaded existing connections that i can actually see online they dont receive my messages. And one third and last issue is that the other connection sees me online without even accepting me. Only by sending a conection request the conection sees me online.

i've installed freichat in my website and everything went smoothly(table created,admin settings..).but i can't seem to see any chat box anywhere...i did add the codes in header.php and footer.php (i add the footer code just before the

I am looking to install FREICHAT on my website which includes phpbb forum too, i successfully install on phpbb3 forums and integrate my webpages with phpbb3 database etc and whole website is in php language. Is there any ways to install it on rest of the pages. because it only works in PHPBB pages.. please help me out

Hello, unfortunately I had to uninstall FreichatX because of some problems during the tests. My password has gone (can't login to backend), and I had to delete the folder. When I unpack the file again and I try to install the FreichatX, I have the last page of an installation.

I was wondering which freichat is compatable for joomla 1.5 native and without CB?

P.S. Oh ya for some odd reason your post and cancel buttons below and even the button on the other side of the Body:* thing here at top are just grey with no text. Whats up with that?

I've intalled FreightChat into my Joomla 1.5 site and it works as i want.But i'm bit trouble when i compare Freichat OnLine Users to Numbers of real connected users in the site.

I understand that some users can log-off themselves from Freichat, but no sure they are.

Questions :
Is there any possibilities to see are many users are log-off ?
Is there any limit time of inactivity, that put user off line ( I mean in the online users counter ) ?

Finally, do we have in the future :
The option to see only the online friends users, and allow only friends users to chat.
And Community Builder compatibility for exemple Gender information, link to users profil etc ...

Hi, really thank you for great script.
But I need some advice.

Please is possible to give options to users, hide this freichat panel, like when the user is offline? But he will not be offline.

Or the default settings when the freichat panel will be hidden (style like when he is offline), and when he is logged, the panel will be still hidden (or showed), but other users be able to see, that he is online.

Off course I don't want disable offline status.

It seems that after installation all features are now functioning properly so far. However, I have noticed a strange bug. The more users who are showing up in the chat module, the bigger the margin which is being created above my header banner. I can see the margin actually change sizes in proportion to how many users pop up on my chat box list of buddies.

Please let me know if this has ever been an issue or what further info I can provide to help you help me :)

I found the information on the EnVix forums a while back - but I've not visited recently... Now, all of the useful information has gone?! Seems strange to drop all of those previous solutions?

Anyway, my point is: How do i hide the Joomla module, just leaving the FreiChat module in the bottom corner?

Any help would be appreciated?

I have followed the installation instructions and got no errors using the quick install but there is nothing on my homepage and got the following error in the parameters:

Can anybody help?
