If the category has subcategories on the category page show topics from subcategories

We installed FreiChat on our Page and ...as far as good...but at the point where we have to decide if we want to take the modul or the code way to run it on the side, we choosed module an got redirected to a part of the far far Web that told us "missing file". So can you please can you give a new working link to us where we are able to download the Modul for our joomla side?

We also tried the code way an FreiChat shows up on the page but messed up a lot of our articls in the forum. All errors are base graficaly so if we erase the part of the FreiChat code to get it running, the errors are gone but also FreiChat.

there seems to be a couple of issues.

1. i cant seem to send files
2. in the chat room area sometimes the input txtbox disappears not allowing for txt input.

how do i fix this? TIA

I am currently trying to install freichat in 000webhost and selected the "Custom" integration but unfortunately it only loads (forever) Here is the screenshot.

hi there is a bug when messaging deleted users (they are not removed from inbox) so sender doesn't realise and when you try to message them it allows you to create message but no notification that user has been deleted so it hangs...

strange things... Chat is correctly installed with the SugarCRM driver. In http:.............../freichat/index.php all seems to be fine and users are displayed.
Everything is fine in sourcecode page, Freichat is here.

Problems are coming after you login. Nothing happen. I explored the CRM and the only place where freichat is appearing is in the map marker module.
I also tried to replace in harcode.php : usertable, $row_username and $row_userid with the right values... but nothing!

Do you thing it is cause Freichat was auto installed under the index.php of root directory of /SugarCRM and not under the the /theme folder?

just a little remaing bug in 3.7 with confirmation mail.
if username contain special caracters, the generated url is invalid.
just have to change line 120 of sys/CODOF/User/Register.php
with this one :

 $confirm_url = RURI . "user/confirm" . "&user=" . urlencode($fields['username']) . "&token=" . $this->token;

to encode field username.

a simple question: how bbcode works ?
is there a list of avaiable codes ? is there some code to change color/bg of a text ?

Hi @adesh1414127033 i wanted to create a moderator portal similar to admin with few permissions available to moderator. Can you give me a easy way to do that and what files i need to update and change to make an easy implementation of moderation portal by copying the exact admin portal and making changes in it.
By the way in which version is the static footer on profile page fixed? i am using v3.6 build 10 and it isn't fixed in that.

I use German as forum language (I did a translation for the locale files which I will provide shortly).

I have just realized that special characters like ä, ö, ü, etc. are converted to their respective html entities before being stored in the codo_post table, e.g.

ä ö ü

While that is fine for display, it apparently breaks the search when you are searching for a word containing any of those letters.

The same is probably true for all special characters.

These days with utf-8 encoding the conversion into html entities probably isn't necessary.

But if you do it you need to convert the search term as well or you break the search.

I am doing a lot of monkey patching to get this software to work the way I want it to and I have the distinct feeling that all my patches will be overwritten once the next update comes around...

Update: I provided the German translation at https://github.com/evnix/codoforum-translations and issued a pull request. I noticed there is a Spanish translation waiting for its merge since January 15th.

Thank you first for this great Solution.
I implemented sso login and it worked perfectly, but when I wanted to create 970 categories manually using insert directly in codo-categories table in phpmyadmin it's no more working
I thought it's because it's taking more time to show the page, I changed timeout in client.php but it's not working.

I checked by using the old table of categories with few categories and it's working again.

Just to be sure : when creating categories in database, I just need to edit codo-categories table and permission table ? no more edition ?

Did I miss something when I created categories manually ?

MediaStreamTrack.getSources() is deprecated, and removed from the latest chrome version (January 2017). Chrome now uses MediaDevices.enumerateDevices().

Maybe have a fix where MediaDevices.enumerateDevices() is used first, and if that gave no result, use MediaStreamTrack.getSources() second?

But I don't know how to make this code. Any ideas?

Category Icon too big and in wrong place.... when you open categories in mobile view or desktop the large icon dominates the screen. Maybe it could be resized and moved to just before the title??

BUG: users can PM others before their account has been approved...

If you define roles to manage permission on category/forum, you may have a minor bug when creating new topic : users can select all the categories/forums instead of only having categories where users can create topic.

I got a little plugin working using the after_topic_insert hook.

Is it possible to use that to get information on what category a post was put in, or what tags were used on it?

There's need of adding sitemap to codoforum, of if that's impossible please let us know. Btw everything right now is just working perfectly, you are the best guys (y)

Search bar is only visible on "all topics" I think it should still be visible when you drill down into categories....
Also would be awesome if search terms entered where recorded and visible in the back end

A minimum characters for replies setting in admin's global settings would be useful to encourage more dialogue/interaction as I have users at the moment do 3-4 character replies...

I've got a new install of codoforum up and running, and I was able to import my old forum without a hitch.

I'm having trouble with notifications. They don't work. When I click on "Notifications",
It just spins, and never shows the notifications. What information would help troubleshoot this?

Missing three important features :

1. the user who signs up must agree : privacy policy and terms and conditions.

2. The user who signs up must have the opportunity to cancel the account.

3. The comments and topic must be able to be moderated before going to publication.

these are three very important things especially from the legal point of view.
