Why am I getting these mistakes if you can help me if my package elevator works well.

There is a user registered on my forum, whenever he makes a post it is posted as by "Admin" which is the admin id of forum. I don't know what's wrong.

I had to edit the mysql tables to make it appear as posted by actual user.
Does anyone know how to fix the issue with the user and how to prevent that from happening in future?

Hello. I've a problem with mail notifications.
I never receive any mail after an answer on a topic, or one per day as defined in my profile.
Is there a simple way to debug ? I don't see any connection on my own smtp server. Params ar ok, as reset password and register send mail..

Hello can someone tell me in witch file happens template generation like main page with categories and topics

There is file sys->CODOF->Forum->Category.php

Witch has a function called get_categories() I modified the query and now can't find where this variables are transfered.

I got Codoforum 3.4 build 19 installed, but I have two issues.

At the bottom of the main page, I have the following error message:

Warning: session_write_close(): Session callback expects true/false return value in Unknown on line 0

This error appears at the bottom of every page.

Also, I can't log in with the admin account.

I wanted to install Codoforum on my own dedicated server to which I have root access for some friends and myself to have a personal spot to chat.

Here are the commands I typed into the console:

cd /var/www/ [using Apache-like structure for nginx, not using /usr/share/nginx/html]

wget https://bitbucket.org/evnix/codoforum_downloads/downloads/codoforum.v.3.4.build-19.zip

unzip codoforum.v.3.4.build-19.zip

chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/

I then set up a database in MariaDB using the following commands:

mysql -u root -p

create database codoforum character set utf8 collate utf8_bin;

grant all privileges on codoforum.* to codoforumsuser@localhost identified by '[insert-password-here]';

flush privileges;

exit

Then I opened a tab in Google Chrome and typed my server's URL:

http://www.<domainname>.com/codoforum/install

I also tried this:

http://www.<domainname>.com/codoforum/admin

The same thing happened both times. Chrome immediately downloaded a file called "download" with no extension. I opened up the file in Notepad++ and its just the index.php files in the "admin" and "install" directory.

Why isn't the installer actually working?

I installed codoforum a few weeks ago. Now, no one is able to create new post or reply. The page is stuck with a loading gif

when you explicitly cite person ( like @adesh1414127033 ) the link générated in post is wrong( profiles/name_of_person instead of profiles/id)

giving an error message...
don't know if problem exists in previous versions

We use Codoforum on our site Coinduet.com . Nowadays Coinduet going to lot of members . But Codoforum is now still children . The moderator is not work on 3.6 . CodoPM not showing any Notification . When we share a link on Facebook It's showing BBcode on descriptions,it's also not showing image,it's showing code only . Somthing like many problem it's have . So,finally we decide we will go to Vanilla . But we love Codoforum , So we waiting for 3.7 . Can Codoforum solved this problems within 4/5 days ?

Seems everytime I try creating a new theme, (trying to make a Dark theme), I get everything the way I hope it would look, I save and the chat always gets messed up.

Steps I do is normally just edit the gradient, some text colors, and backgrounds using the editor. Then I save the theme and go into the client side options and set the theme as default. When I go to my site, the chat looks fine, but the tab for the chat rooms is gone. I go back to look at the theme and in the image is what I see. A friend of mine tested this on his site and same exact thing.

I have a problem with moderation in 3.6. I've activated moderation, and when i report a message, the message is still displayed, and there is nothing in moderation. I've an error message :

I had to use the custom setup as the osdate integration seems to be missing and I have FreiChat showing for guests but can't get it working for the members (users).

Hello! I didn't find this option anywhere, so, it would be nice to possibly hide second level categories in the left menu ( when you have a lot of sub-menus!).

after investigations, my server never send HTTP_HOST variable, as it's a protection against host poisoning ( https://ellislab.com/blog/entry/http-host-and-server-name-security-issues)

is there a way to setup the real host name in a config file ?

We have an online dating site that is created with the Etano script (Datemill) and want to see how we can integrate Freichat with our site.

My expertise coding wise is almost intermediate per se and need to know what the specific steps are in order to correctly install, configure and customize Freichat into our site.

Is it also possible to incorporate the chat INTO a page specifically made for the chat (ie: having site headers and footers in place like the rest of the website?) by inserting the html as needed?
