I installed FCX on my website. My users login with email and password.
The userID is stored in a cookie. When i set up FCH for showing -GUESTS- it seems to work.

The next step was to connect FCX to my userbase. I added a line to store the userid also in a session.

I also made a change to the arp.php on lines 182 -> 185 i changed the names to the field values of mij own user database. A few lines above i see the correct acces settings for my database.

The connection is ok, but what's the meaning of line 1 and 3 of this ?

When i change the administrator setting to -users- the chat is not showing up at the location where the userid is stored in a session/cookie. On the location where no user is logged in, the box shows up and reports to log in.

Do you have suggestions for me ?

Just installed the latest version. I'm using the un-integrated version. The install went fine but the smilie box is not showing in the chat rooms. I see the smilies in the basic chat img folder but they do not display on the chat box.

Also, how do you float the windows?

I´m having a problem with avatar-picture cropping not working in JomSocial, the same way it´s described in this thread: http://evnix.com/drupal2/comment/1731

The thing is that this time it doesn´t matter if I comment: require_once 'jquery/js/jquery.1.7.1.js'; in "main.php"

Actually the problem is still there when I de-activate the freichat module, so I´m pretty sure the conflict comes from somewhere else this time around..

This is very irritating because everything else on my site is working 100% as wanted, including the chat.

My users has one problem with Frai Chat:

When User A type more lines then standard hight of czat window, then user B have to scrole window to see last one message. This issue appears after one of update (Unfortunately I don't know which one).

today i installed FreiChatX 6.3.2 on my Testwebsite based on Joomla 2.5.1 and JomSocial 2.4.2. I followed the video tutorial on this site, but on the end from the installation and configuration i see no chatbox on the bottom. I checked it in Firefox 10 with Firebug and also in Google Chrome 17 with the developertools. But their i dont see that the modul from freichat is loading.

Do i have to place a new position in my template?

I have installed freichat on a site in Joomla 1.7 for my secondary school, with CB 1.7 (http://newsite.iisviasarandi.it )The configuration is correct, but the chat windows does not box appears when multiple users are online. It is an error from the console in chrome (Uncaught ReferenceError: FreiChat is not defined) but I'm no expert.
- CB I configured properly, enabling friendships
- I have installed the freichat module

I can't get to install FreiChatX 6.3.1 on joomla 1.7.2, when i get to the install type page after the license page the submit button remains disable even after i chose my cms as joomla and domain to install FreiChatX 6.3.1 has been entered.Next to the disabled submit button i have this written "processing....." so i cannot proceed to the configuration check page. Made freichat work on several Joomla websites for clients without any problem. (Great work). But today I tried with our own foundation website without success....; Downloaded latest FreichatX, uploaded the files, went for installing but on second step, everything stops stating "processing...." Is it possible for me to install just the one to one chat rather than the full system?

I use it on my site Buzz50.com but whilst re-building the site and using 6.3.1 on a Joomla 1.5 site with Community Builder I seem to get a full chat room facility as well which I do not want.

Any ideas please?

For a while i have been looking around for an issue with JomSocial, the function where to crop profilepicture to a correct size thumbnail was not working due to an javascript conflict. Today when i disabled FreiChat everything started to work ok again.

I have tried to move FreiChat around to other modulepositions but with no luck, it still break the edit profilepicture function in JomSocial.

Any solution to this?

I try to use freichatx with wordpress 3.3.1 and buddypress plugin 1.5.4.

All freichat installation through the web browser have been well done.

But the plugin activation process display this message :

I have installed Freichat 6.3.1, Joomla 1.5.25 and CB 1.7.1. After installation Freichat is working fine. Thank you for your great work.
In the website there are menu and Freichat on left column. Freichat hides a part of the website and menu hides the left part of Freichat. This is a problem with z-Index.
I would favor that the floating chat turns up only if anybody wants to use it similar to your Freichat-module in the bottom. Is it possible that only the module is working?

A file permissions error has occurred. Please check the permissions on the script and the directory it is in and try again.

My files are set to 755, however when I try to enter the /freichat/installation/install.php or any other files I get the above error.

Freichat is workin , but sometimes freichat module is missing , and when restarting the firefox freichat is working again
