How do I uninstall Freichat?
Look in the template/index files of your site for the Freichat code, remove it, then remove the SQL queries and Freichat folder. I recommend PHPMYADMIN to do the database handling.

Freichat isn't working anymore!
I more or less experience this problem myself when I make theme changes or changes to Freichat (CSS). I recommend making backups of the site; it's what I do. Just Google PHP Backup and look for the software for you. Also, server changes can do this (Like Ads or Analytics of any kind)

Freichat doesn't work at all!
I suggest disabling forced scripts on your page and check to make sure your database settings are legit and all the files are there and unmodified. Make sure you went through the install first. Also, if auto install doesn't work, try the manual install, and if that still doesn't work, try contacting the author of the software. Or, make sure no scripts are before Freichat unless they are absolutely necessary.

Avatars in PHPBB and other forum software won't work!
It's not supported... Yet.

It shows noone is online even though there is!
Perhaps your Freichat is misconfigured or there are conflicting scripts/options on your server that are messing with them.

My web site has a member area in the visitors area for those who have signed up and an admin area which has CMS and where freiChat has been installed. After installation of the software, what will I do so that at the visitors end of my web site

1. Visitors can see the chat room page only and see those in the chat room, type message and click the usual Send button and get responses from fellow chatting members?

2. Visitors will not be able to see any other components of the freiChat software like those used to set up the software in the admin end (CMS) of my web site?

3. Visitors can sign in with the username and password they submitted when they signed up on my web site and gain access directly to the chat room like Facebook without having to register again for chatting separately?

Lastly, please who is a guest, and a user? These are one of the specifications in the freiChat software set up.

Hello I am using a content delivery network named cloudflare for Joomla now. It helped me to increase sitespeed. What i had to do was to change the Nameservers from my Hoster to the ones of cloudflare. Since the change, Freichat don´t work any longer. The Programm is im my Joomlafolder together with the other stuff. I hope you can help me to fix the problem. I would really like to use youre newest version with chatroomsupport. That was the last missing Thing for my website.

I get a screen that has the chat room box off to the left and the IM box at the bottom right. There is nothing in teh Main chat window and the IM is stuck on loading.....

I'd also like to place only the IM chat on the screen not the large chat room, how do I do this?

i've come across a small problem.

when i or my users use any data entry form, using either flexicontent or with Lyften Bloggie the chatroom appears on the left hand side of the screen, when you click on the title bay it appears like it should do.

also i've noticed a huge server slow down since installation.

The chat works in firefox but when i open my site in Google chrome or IE I can't see the chat. I tried to reinstall it but each time the same result.

I read the readme doc.
I unzipped the folder and uploaded it to my joomla 1.5.23 "tmp" folder.

In the directory window I put /home/myFtpAccountName/public_html/site/home/tmp/freichat/installation/index.php

I got "Please enter a package directory."

Your readme says to place the freichat folder in the "installed" directory. I do not have one so I placed it in the tmp directory.

What can I do here? I have tried the URL window
http://www.mysite.com/home/tmp/freichat/installation/index.php

That does not work either.

What am I doing wrong? What can I do right?

I replaced the older version of freichat for Joomla with the new freichatx.
I installed the files and the module for Joomla with CB.
I've tried with noconflict off and on, if it's set to on it doesn't load at all.

Sometimes the im will load, other times it won't, and it will only ever load on the profile page, nowhere else. Sometimes it will show users when it loads but usually it just says nobody online. Also I'm not a fan on the online/offline function of the new freichat and would rather it do a simple session check so it matches my online friends module I built, this isn't a huge issue as I can tweak that once the component is running stable.

The site is http://www.erecoverydev.com and you can log in with the username: Nicole C and password: password. If you need server login details or an admin account please let me know and I can send it to you.

hey guys. i just installed the chat feature on my nuke evo extreme site. works great. one problem. if i set for people to have to login the chat still says they need to login after they already are... confusing.. works fine when its on guests though...

When a friend log in i have internet explorer was getting mixed content warnings : "Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?". Also in chrome and firefox.
